KYLE KIRKPATRICK is an award winning composer, producer, and mixer based in York, Pennsylvania. Drawn to experimental sounds and musical textures, his approach to composition marries these elements with his love for modern orchestral scoring.
Most notably, he was a part of the team creating music for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Opening Ceremonies (FS1/BBC/Fubo TV). He additionally co-composed the score for the official Welcome to Qatar water and fireworks show, a multi-act spectacle featuring fountains, pyro, lighting and projection, fireworks and drones. He also recently completed music for travel TV series The Traveler (Al Jazeera) and scored, mixed, and was sound designer for The Journey (Omnispace360), a 220° immersive film experience he composed and mixed in 7.1 surround. Recent film credits include the feature films Row (Sophie Skelton, Bella Dayne), Lonely (Revelation Cinema), 2020 (Katara Studios/Luna Films), and A Frame of Mind (Luna Films) along with short films Another Day (Théophile Mur), Awakening (Vaikunta FIlms), Night Visit (SSZ Films) and more. Additional clients and credits include FIFA, 3M, PGA, Qatar Airways, Sight & Sound Theatres and more.
With nearly two decades of experience, Kyle is a classically trained cellist adept in both classical and contemporary repertoire. Recently, he has established himself as a solo recording cellist, featured in many trailers, short films, commercials, and notably, during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 opening ceremonies.
